Met veel zorg bied ik Kasper te koop aan voor zijn eigenaresse, een prachtige 10-jarige zwarte ruin met een hart van goud. Kasper is eerlijk, ijverig, ontzettend vriendelijk en erg knap. Hij heeft veel talent en leert snel. Het afgelopen half jaar hebben we vooral gewerkt aan speuren, waar hij ontzettend goed in is en veel plezier uit haalt. Dit helpt hem om beter te ontspannen, omdat hij van nature wat onzeker kan zijn en spanning langer vasthoudt.![]()

Kasper is makkelijk in de omgang binnen zijn vertrouwde omgeving. Respectvol, volgzaam en hij heeft humor. Kortom, een leuk paard om bij te zijn. Alleen bewegende objecten of geluid in de verte bezorgen hem stress, het lukt hem dan moeilijk om te blijven reguleren en bouwt spanning op wat zich kan uiten in vluchtgedrag. Dit gedrag is versterkt op vreemd terrein.![]()

𝗪𝗮𝘁 𝘃𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝘂𝗶𝘀 𝘇𝗼𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗷?![]()
Kasper verdient een huis waar hij helemaal tot zijn recht kan komen en waar iemand de tijd neemt om hem in zijn kracht te zetten. Hij zou bijvoorbeeld heel geschikt kunnen zijn voor iemand die het leuk vindt met een onzeker paard te werken, geen druk op de plannen zet en hem alle tijd wil geven om te groeien in zijn zelfvertrouwen en daarnaast dressuurmatig plezier wilt hebben. Of iemand die op zoek is naar een maatje voor het leven om vanaf de grond te werken, coaching te geven of samen tijd door te brengen zonder druk. ![]()

De huidige eigenaresse heeft de afgelopen 7 jaar bergen verzet met Kasper, maar wil graag fanatiek verder in de dressuursport. Hiervoor is Kasper (nu) niet geschikt. Daarom zoeken we iemand die met hem aan de slag wil, zonder druk en hem de ruimte geeft om te groeien in zijn zelfvertrouwen en loslaten van spanning.![]()

Asking for help means you can share the weight, and once you dare to reach out, you’ll see that support is there. There are people around you who want to stand by your side, to think alongside you and support you, just like you always do for your horse.![]()

Yesterday I was at the clinic. A place that, understandably, many horse owners tend to avoid. Everyone hopes to leave with a sense of relief: the “thankfully, it wasn’t too bad” feeling or the “we can work with this” feeling. In the programs I guide, I hope for that every time ❤️![]()

I accompany owners to the clinic and help them translate the visit into what needs to be done afterward, in a realistic and achievable way. This can include training adjustments, management strategies, and any follow-up treatments. I also help owners beforehand to determine what is needed to properly investigate the issue.![]()

Yesterday was a strange day. It’s the kind of moment every horse owner hopes for: hearing the words “there doesn’t seem to be anything significant going on.” Again.... 🤷♀️![]()

The horse has been struggling for a while with irregularity and insufficient muscle development around the belly, hindquarters, and pelvis. The body provides a lot of information, but not everything can be captured on imaging or found in blood tests.![]()

What if the horse is indeed unable to properly engage its body and lift its back? Then a lot of pressure is placed on the sacroiliac joint. Bringing the hind leg forward becomes limited, and more weight ends up on the shoulder area. All of this together creates a recipe for irregularity or, in other words, overloading.![]()

Yesterday we used every bit of our brainpower to make a plan. What does this horse need? What does the owner need? And how can we find a way to promote progress without overloading the horse? Can we achieve that progress within the framework we are already working in by adjusting, or is a different approach necessary?![]()

The first plan is in place. For now, we let it settle, and then we will continue in consultation with the specialists involved.![]()
